Downtown Ann Arbor Discrict Library
Third Floor Free Meeting Space
Richard LeSueur, retired music specialist at the Ann Arbor District Library, will discuss the plot and music of this masterpiece. This is an opera with an abundance of well known arias and ensembles including the Tomb Scene, the Mad Scene and Sextet. Using recordings to illustrate the high points, LeSueur take you through this opera which makes today's TV crime shows look tame. This is an enjoyable way to prepare for Arbor Opera Theater's performance of this famous opera, June 17 - 20 at Lydia Mendelssohn Theater.
