ARTIST PROGRAMS

As Arbor Opera Theater enters its thirteenth season, we continue to adapt and grow around what is most important to us:

To help emerging artists (singers and technical artists) gain the skills and experience to work as professionals in the field of opera and the musical theater.

As our organization has developed and grown, so has our awareness of the number and different types of artists looking for opportunities to develop their skills and perform. Therefore, we have developed a new approach to our programming that will provide more opportunities for more artists at different levels of development. We hope that you will come and take part of what we are offering as well as make suggestions of how we can better serve you in this ever-evolving art form.

We have established three levels in order to accomplish our vision: the Studio Artist, the Emerging Artist and the Principal artist. In addition to various performance opportunities in our mainstage production of La Boheme, we have crafted a serious of workshops and seminars to help singers and technical artists evolve into the successful, professional artists they aspire to be.

STUDIO ARTISTS
Our Studio Artist program is designed for the singer who is beginning their training as a professional musician. While a majority of our Studio Artists will be pursuing undergraduate degrees in music, we also welcome the exceptional high school student and the mature beginner.
