Kristin Eder, mezzo-soprano, is a doctoral student in vocal performance at the University of Michigan, where she also received Master’s degrees in vocal performance and choral conducting. As a graduate student, Kristin has made solo appearances with all of U of M’s major choral ensembles and has conducted the Residential College Choir, Orpheus Singers and University Choir. Kristin has appeared with University Opera Theater as Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Florence Pike in Albert Herring, and Larina in Eugene Onegin. This spring, she will perform the title role in Gluck’s Armide. Her most recent solo concert performances include Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, Bach’s St. John Passion, Durufle’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Verdi’s Requiem, and Mozart’s Requiem, Coronation Mass, and Mass in C minor.
